Artist Statement

I seek to reinterpret the world through the line of a pencil, stroke of a brush, or cut of a sheet a paper.
Having a visual connection with people of different walks of life is why I choose to make not only art but, most importantly illustration.
A shy person by nature, visual communication creates an outlet for me that I can share with many.
Raising awareness, bringing happiness, and enhancing lives are why I enjoy creating pictures.
I would like viewers of my artwork to find elements that connect with their own memories and ideas.
I infuse my experiences as a woman, an artist, a musician, and a fashion enthusiast and designer to create a sense of authenticity in every illustration I make.
My love of fashion, tactility, and color translates into illustration in the form of a decorative and feminine aesthetic with handcrafted elements, attention to details, and sophisticated color palettes. In the markets of fashion, music, editorial, advertising, and book illustration, I aspire to create two-dimensional and three-dimensional art that not only evokes the senses, but the heart and the personal journey of the individual as well.
